Mission Statement

From its inception on September 11, 1958 the Old Saybrook Historical Society, a non-profit organization, continues to be dedicated to investigating, preserving and maintaining collections in archaeology, art, furniture, genealogy and historical records for the Town of Old Saybrook. We endeavor to further encourage the study of the preservation of historic sites, as well as an appreciation of the historical heritage of Old Saybrook, especially by the young people of the area. We also actively engage the public to increase awareness and appreciation of the Town’s history through exhibits, videos, tours and lectures
