We offer the following for your consideration:

The beautiful gardens of the General William Hart House, 350 Main Street in Old Saybrook Connecticut, home of the Old Saybrook Historical Society may be reserved for your event. Our historic setting will enchant you and our popular shoreline town offers many accommodations and other amenities and points of interest for your guests. Our gardens are arrayed on two levels, one located on the South side of the House and a lower garden, fondly called the “Dingle’ is situated east of the House and South of our lovely Archives building. This area is attractively outlined by stone walls and extensive plantings.

Your event may be large or small, our setting is quite flexible. If required, tents as large as 40’ x 60’ are accommodated in the Dingle while tents up to 30’ x 60’ can be employed in the upper south lawn and garden. A popular use requiring no shelter is Wedding Photography. Other attractive uses are: Weddings, Anniversary Parties, Bridal and Baby Showers, Engagement Parties, Birthday Parties, Family Reunions, Clam Bakes, Recreational Business Events and Fundraisers.

For a truly unique venue, please contact us at 860-388-2622 for further information or to reserve the garden. Listings of recommended caterers and tent rental outlets, etc. can be furnished upon request.
